2020 Spooky Story Contest
Welcome to our first Spooky Story contest! It's the time of the year when the leaves turn, the weather turns crisp, and Halloween is here. It's the perfect time of year for a story to chill your bones while you warm by a fire. We're asking you to send us your best original spooky stories. We love supporting local talent and authors and look forward to being scared by your stories!
Winners in each category will receive a $50 Amazon gift card and will have the choice of reading their story or having their story read by a local actor. Winning stories will be published on the library’s website. Entries will be judged by library staff. Entries are judged based on content, originality, and age-appropriate quality of expression. Judging will be done anonymously, and the decisions of the judges are final.
