Naples Botanical Garden is happy to present free virtual nature journaling classes in 2023-2024! Supported by a grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County, this program is FREE and includes all necessary art supplies; however, we do have a class limit of 14 students per session. These 8-week sessions are designed for beginners to nature journaling. Classes focus on learning how to use watercolor pencils, a portable journal, and other materials supplied by the Garden, to observe and appreciate the nature around you. All class dates are held virtually through Google Meet, with optional in-person meet ups at Naples Botanical Garden scheduled throughout the session.

No previous art experience is necessary—all you need is an interest in developing a new skill and meet the following criteria:
• Be age 55 or older
• Be able to commit to attending all eight virtual classes during one session.
• Be able to commit to showing your work in the culminating event.
• Have a valid Google Email (Gmail) address.
• Have access to a smartphone, tablet, computer, or laptop with audio and video capabilities.
