Attend Convocation
Convocation, along with Commencement, bookends the college experience for our students. By attending Convocation, you demonstrate your pride in Illinois Tech and help to assure our students and their families that our university is a supportive and welcoming place. Our theme this year is “Home Is Where the Hawk Is,” so let’s roll out the red carpet for our students at their new home away from home.
Attend the Convocation Dinner
Join me at an informal and fun dinner with our new students and their families immediately after the ceremony. Get to know our new Scarlet Hawks while enjoying the tastes of Chicago.
Volunteer for Move-In Day
I also ask you to volunteer for Move-In Day, which takes place prior to Convocation, on August 14 from 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. This is your chance to meet our new students and their families while assisting with residence hall check-in.
Thank you for the time and talent you bring to Illinois Tech, and for showing your support to our students and their families.
Sincerely,
Katherine Stetz, Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
