Thank you for considering becoming a volunteer with us!
This form will walk you through the required steps to apply as a volunteer for the 2018-19 school year.
Here is a list of the partnerships looking for volunteers:
- Ha:san Preparatory School
- Kino Veteran's Center
- Las Artes
- Pima Community College Adult GED Program
- Pima Vocational High School (South Tucson campus)
- Pima Vocational High School (Ina campus)
The first step is to fill out the TEALS volunteer application at
https://www.tealsk12.org/apply/. Please use your university email to apply, so we are able to identify you as a student volunteer.
Once you've completed the volunteer application, indicate so below and begin the second step.
The second step is to complete a personal statement (minimum 500 words). Choose one of the partner locations listed above, and do some research on the location. Write about what you've learned about the location, why you would want to work with the communities represented at that location, and what you hope to gain personally from this experience. Upload your statement to this form when completed.
YOUR APPLICATION AND PERSONAL STATEMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 13th.
Once you've completed these steps, you will then schedule an interview with the TEALS/UA/Social Catalyst leadership, as well as any potential partners that are available to attend the interview. This interview will not be technical, but be ready to answer questions such as "how would you introduce an array to a high school student". Interviews will take place on March 26-28 during the day, and you will be provided a link to choose an available time slot on a first come, first serve basis as completed forms are received.
If you have any questions or issues with this form, please email
caitlin@tealsk12.org and include "Volunteer Form" in your subject.
Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you soon!
