VISAS (Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports)
Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports(VISAS) is a non-profit charitable society focused on providing Nationally Certified Snowsports instruction for individuals living with physical or mental challenges. They believe that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate and enjoy Alpine/Nordic snowsports. If you have a student who requires an Aide in your classroom, the Aide is required to ski with the student and the VISAS instructor either with the group or separately, whichever situation is suitable. There is no charge for the Aide to accompany this student.
