Volunteer Sign Up - 2024 OLA Conference
Are you attending the 2024 Oregon Library Association annual conference? Could you spare a few minutes or maybe a few hours to support your volunteer conference committee with some boots-on-the-ground volunteer help during the conference itself?

We don't need much from each volunteer, but we do need help with some tasks (see full descriptions below) including:
  • Registration Desk Help
  • Session Room Helpers
  • Morning Greeters
  • Saturday Buffet Ticket Takers
  • Dine-Around Table Hosts

Registration Desk Help: Work with our Onsite Registration Team to check in conference attendees, troubleshoot badge and meal ticket issues, answer questions, and generally help people get settled into conference mode. Please tell us all the times you'd be willing to help. We will get back to you with a schedule.

How many Registration Desk shifts would you be willing to work, depending on the need?

Room Monitors: One person needed per session time to do a room count in all the session rooms on Floor 1 (4-6 rooms) during the first 5-10 minutes of  session, then text the room count to the Volunteer Coordinator. 
Greeters: Local people who know Salem well - be stations near the Registration Desk during the busy morning times to hand out parking maps and answer parking, coffee, dining, conference room location, and other crucial questions.
Saturday Morning Buffet Ticket Takers: Four people needed from 8-8:45 a.m. to take buffet tickets as guests arrive for the Breakfast and Author Talk.

Dine-Around Hosts: Arrive first and greet conference goers meeting for dinner reservations to be made at various restaurants around town on Thursday and Friday.
