*Do not fill out this form if you are looking to sign up for a new membership because yours has recently expired. If you would like a new membership, this can be done on the join section of our website under the membership categories listed.
All 6 and 12 month memberships that were on hold due to the COVID shutdown are able to be reactivated. Please allow 5-10 business days for us to process your reactivation request.
After we review and process your membership, you will receive a confirmation email that includes your payment amount (if applicable) and expiration date (only for members that did not have automatic renewal). You will be given ID card clearance at that time as well.
Access information: If you previously used an MIT Recreation-issued membership card with a number that begins with "555," your card is not compatible with MIT's new card readers. However, you're still eligible to resume your membership. For facility access, members should be shortly getting a notification about utilizing their phone as access in the future via TIM TICKET for guest ID access. You will have the option to scan in with the QR code or take that code to a kiosk to print to have a physical card printed in minutes as well. This is a feature that is not available yet but should be available through the institute in the coming months.
In the meantime, members can download our app and utilize the barcode on the home screen to scan in at the front desk for access until the Tim Ticket is live and working. Members can also check in at the front desk to confirm membership upon arrival.
