Reporting an incident at a York SU event (York SU Official Club Nights or on-campus)
This form is a confidential way to share your experience if it occurred at a York Parties X Voodoo club night or at an on-campus SU venue. This is not a report to the University.
We understand that reporting an incident of any kind can be a difficult decision. We're committed to ensuring that our reporting process is centered on your autonomy and well-being.
You can choose for us to share your information with the University, or you can submit your own report to Report and Support..
We may have a legal obligation to pass the information you provide on to relevant authorities such as in Safeguarding, Prevent or Public safety concerns
What Happens After You Submit the Form?
A friendly member of our team will carefully review your report. We will consider the information you have provided and determine the most appropriate next steps and contact you if you give us permission to do this.
You're in Control:
You can choose for us to not contact you:
- You have the right to decline all contact and can indicate this on the form.
- If you do wish to be contacted, a member of York SU staff will be in touch via email within 3 days.
- This member of staff will let you know the next steps, and point you to the appropriate support services.
You have the choice to allow us to share your information with York Parties and Voodoo events:
- You can choose to not have your information shared with York Parties X Voodoo and can indicate this on the form.
- If you choose for us to share your information, they will use this to ensure appropriate action is taken. They will not contact you, only we will. Your information will be shared in line with York SU’s privacy and data protection policies.

Sexual Violence Liasion Officers (SVLOs)
You can also contact the University’s Sexual Violence Liasion Officers who provide support to students who have experience sexual violence at any time in their lives.

The Advice & Support Centre, part of the Students’ Union (York SU), provides independent and confidential advice and guidance to students on academic, welfare and personal issues.
