AMALA Youth Hopeline under
Muslim American Society- Social Services Foundation (MAS-SSF) a Non-profit that centers Muslims, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers from predominately South West Asian north African (SWANA) Region.
This online event was developed with current events impacting Youth in America in mind. This event is set to take place on August 26th, 2022, 6:00-8:00 pm PST. RSVP for this event here!
Community Care, Healing and Safety For All event will cover the following topics:
- What is community/collective care?
- The benefits of healing as a community.
- How to build community/collective care.
- The mental health outcomes associated with School Shootings (TW)
- Background on how and why school shootings occur in the US.
- Grounding and Empowerment for youth in communities to self advocate for mental health outcomes of school shootings.
- Grounding and Empowerment for adult allies in communities to advocate with and for youth regarding school shootings and mental health.
- Close with creating community spaces for care, healing, and safety.
