If you would like to request a visitation or a regular event from our Facility therapy dogs and coach or from our Animal-assisted therapy teams, please fill out all the questions below.

Community events that are open to ALL individuals such as community fairs, market events, and library events are FREE to book. We also attend emergencies, disasters, etc to bring a sense of ease to the victims. These ae free of cost. 

Private events open to only the individuals your group/organization serves, have a service coordination fee for a visitation.

We currently offer private visits for a fee of $50/hr for a one-on-one sessions with a coach and a facility animal for individuals and small groups of less than 5.

For private events of 50 or less people requesting 2-3 animals, we ask $100/hr. 

for corporate or large-scale events over 50 people with 3-10 animals, Our fee is $150/hr 

Additionally, a $50 travel charge to anywhere outside the 25 mile range of Redding, CA will apply.

 If your organization is struggling financially but feels they would truly benefit from a visit, we have a limited number of free spots.

Why we charge?

Most therapy dog organizations do not coordinate visitations. It is up to each individual to figure out where to visit, how to do it, and what they need. Take A Paws CA offers this to all their members. We coordinate and arrange events, and all our volunteers have to do after our certification is attend, resulting in higher numbers of volunteers doing a broader range of community events. Since we provide this to our volunteers, there are administrative costs that these fees help us cover, since each separate visitation requires planning and coordination. Additionally, we provide our own treats, toys, placemats, brushes, and more for animal-assisted education, and some goodies such as free stickers and pictures of the dogs to give away at your event. Again, if you can not afford this, we urge you to express that need below so we can try to accommodate you or your groups situation.
