Journalists' Statement Condemning Israeli Killing of Journalists in Gaza and Urging Integrity in Western Coverage of Israeli Atrocities

By submitting this form, you are publicly signing an open letter — written by and for journalists — standing in solidarity with Palestinian news workers and urging newsrooms, particularly Western ones, to call for the immediate protection of journalists in Gaza and to uphold journalistic standards in reporting on Gaza.

Writers of the letter are a group of U.S.-based reporters at both local and national newsrooms. Some members of the group were also involved in a 2021 open letter outlining concerns with U.S. media coverage of Palestine.

We are only accepting signatures from current or former journalists/news workers. At this time, we are only accepting public signatories, not anonymous ones. (If you have a clear need to remain anonymous but would like to sign, please email us -- we want to hear from you.)

Email with any questions or feedback. Any numbers cited in the letter will be updated at the time of publication.
