ACCOMMODATION, CATERING & TRANSPORT
Participants are required to provide their own transport to Camp Kedron, 471 Queen Elizabeth Dr, Barmera on Tuesday 14th January for a 10.30AM rehearsal. Assistance can be provided with transport via car-pooling and participants should indicate this on application.
Accommodation is at Camp Kedron. This is basic bunkhouse accommodation and participants are required to bring their own bedding. This is located on the banks of Lake Bonney and participants will have the opportunity for swimming.
Participants are required to bring their own lunch on Day One, however for the remainder of the camp and tour, all food will be provided.
ELIGIBILITY==> 24 years and under from first day of camp ==> Minimum standard approx Grade Four (AMEB, ANZCA, TRINITY etc.)
Note – you don’t need to have actually done an exam, you just need a teacher or your conductor to verify your playing standard.
The band is conducted by the participants and applicants are encouraged to share this responsibility. .
INSTRUMENTATION ==> Brass and Percussion==> Brass band instrumentation is preferred, however all brass will be accepted==> French horns will be required to transpose from E-flat==> trombones, tubas, euphoniums and baritones will be reading treble clef==> Percussionists should be able to read music
PERSONNELSupervisory staff all have the relevant Working with Children and First Aid as required for teaching in South Australia
FEESThe aim is to keep the cost as low as possible, therefore fundraising and sponsorship is still being sought.
