The Future of U.S. Climate Policy: Coal, Carbon Markets, and the Clean Air Act
October 28th, 7:30am-4:45pm in Greenberg Lounge at NYU School of Law
The Institute for Policy Integrity’s 6th Annual Fall Workshop will focus on the Obama Administration’s recent efforts to regulate greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act, as well as the future of U.S. climate policy more generally. United States Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island will offer keynote remarks, along with Joel Beauvais, Associate Administrator for the Office of Policy at EPA. The day’s three panel discussions will feature a diverse mix of government officials, legal academics, and representatives of both the private sector and leading environmental nonprofits. Continuing Legal Education credit will be available for some sessions.
The Institute for Policy Integrity partners with non-governmental advocacy organizations to facilitate their effective participation in the regulatory process through thoughtful application of cost-benefit analysis. Policy Integrity advocates for reform before courts, legislatures, and executive agencies, and contributes original scholarly research in the areas of environmental, public health, and safety policy.
