Bryson Middle School                           PSAT/NMSQT 2024 Registration (8th Grade Only)

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Your child will have the opportunity to participate in the PSAT/NMSQT test in October. This opportunity is available to both our in-person and GCS Virtual Program students. There is an $13.31 fee for 8th grade students who wish to take the test.

***NOTE: For students who scored Exceeds Expectations on the SC READY ELA and/or mathematics section(s), there is no cost for your student to participate. Ms. Lewis has notified the students that this applies to.

The PSAT/NMSQT test will be administered during the school day at Bryson Middle School on October 2, 2024.

This test is part of the South Carolina Junior Scholars Identification and Development Program. South Carolina’s Junior Scholars are selected based on the student’s PSAT/NMSQT score. Specifically, a student who scores 550 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion or scores 530 or higher on the mathematics portion of the PSAT/NMSQT will qualify. The deadline for registering and submitting this form is August 20 at 4:00pm. Late registrations will NOT be accepted. GCS Virtual Program students must provide their own transportation. Please fill out the form below and click submit when finished. Don't forget to download and print the Parent Permission Form and return it to Ms. Lewis in the Guidance office or you can scan it to: kllewis@greenville.k12.sc.us.
