Welcome to the AnimeCon Classic Events Submission form!
First of all, we would like to thank you for your interest. There would be no events program at our convention without volunteers such as yourself to stepping forward to either teach or entertain our visitors. However, as AnimeCon Classic takes place in a small venue with a limited amount of 'event rooms', very difficult choices must be made. We ask for your understanding, as well as your patience, while we attempt to gauge just what sort of events we will offer to our visitors during the Classic edition. Should you not be selected, you may instead be referred to a future edition of AnimeCon.

(Please note that this particular form is only a part of the AnimeCon Classic selection process. If you have no interest in hosting your event at our Classic edition (5th to 7th of June 2020 in Almelo) and would instead like to be a part of the program during our 'big' AnimeCon edition, you need not fill out this form at all. Instead, please send an E-mail to festivalevents@animecon.nl.)

Once we have reached our Events submission deadline (December 31st, 23:59), we will process everything and decide which lectures/workshops/contests/etc. will be hosted in our program. here are some tips on how to improve your chances.

- At AnimeCon Classic, we strive to have a 24/7 program for visitors to enjoy. However, finding those who are willing to host an event beyond the standard bedtime has proven difficult. Agreeing to host your event during nighttime will greatly increase your chances of being given a spot in our Classic program.
- Those with professional and/or convention experience will have a higher chance of being chosen than someone who would be hosting an event for the very first time.
- Try to set up an event which appeals to as many different people as possible. Don't focus on a small niche, instead attempt to relate that niche back to a more generic audience. For example: 'Fandom's Constructive Behavior' is a more open lecture than 'Sailor Moon Fandom's Constructive Behavior'.
- Think outside the box. We strive to fill our program with unique events, as well as events which may not have been seen at conventions for over a decade. For example: 'Creating Cosplay While on a Budget' is the sort of lecture concept we see submitted quite often. 'Creating Cosplay Using Only Cardboard' has never before been done (as far as we know). Jan Ken Pon competitions are a regular at anime conventions, but noodle slurping has not been done for a very long time. Again, those are only examples. There are no limits to what you might come up with if you put your mind to it!

All your responses have to be in English. Promo pictures such as logos and/or session pictures may be sent to us through E-mail or uploaded elsewhere and then linked (no copyrighted materials). Should your event be selected for the AnimeCon Classic program, further details such as precise scheduling and reimbursement will be discussed through E-mail after the 1st of January 2020. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to send an E-mail to festivalevents@animecon.nl.
