CSOs are an important partner for the authorities in solving existing social problems and ensuring the democratic development of Cyprus and in the process of making decisions effectively. However, in the northern part of Cyprus, CSOs who are experiencing the problems in the field, making researches, collecting data and producing solutions are unfortunately not included in these processes when decisions are taken to solve the problems!
Supporting civic participation is valuable both for the CSOs but also for all individuals who want to contribute to the decisions of decision-makers.

About the campaign:
Effective Participation at the Local Level is a campaign launched by a total of thirty civil society organisations to ensure that local decision making levels in Lefka and Nicosia will incorporate participation standards and include CSOs in decision-making mechanisms.
