Program Summary
Columbans believe true solidarity with marginalized communities and the earth is achieved through challenging the structural causes of poverty, violence, and all forms of injustice. This means working to change policies that cause injustice and implementing policies that uphold dignity, justice, and care for our common home.

As a member of the human family, we invite you to Washington D.C. to learn how to bring the good news of peace and justice to policymakers in government and leaders of your own community. Interns will be assigned to specialize in one of our four justice issue areas, or communications and multimedia design.

By participating in the Columban Center's "Summer Internship Program," you will:

---deepen your spirituality in the Columban tradition and through Catholic social teaching.
---expand your knowledge of the Columban's four priority issue areas (economic justice, environmental justice, migration, and peace and demilitarization).
---equip yourself with the tools for advocacy and community organizing you need to make positive change in the world.
