“I paint playfully, using color as light, and I pay attention to patterns, repetition, and movement. I enjoy using bright, bold colors to capture a sense of vitality. I paint both still lives and interior scenes that focus on the rituals and beauty found in daily life. These paintings act as a documentation of moments that take place during my days. Time connects to my paintings, showing the way that time can stand still for an instant, or how separate moments can blur together as one. I use intimate portraits of daily life to comment on the human experience and create an intimacy between the viewer and the subject.”
