EOF MEN OF COLOR INITIATIVE: THE INTERRUPTERS SYMPOSIUM
“Those who say it can't be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.”
― James Baldwin
If scholars are to truly learn and be successful within higher education, we must be able to authentically connect with them. Valuing and validating our scholars is the beginning of creating strong connections to interrupt the narrative associated with men of color on college campuses.
Our scholars enter our institutions bringing diverse experiences, cultures, and knowledge. As student development professionals, we take the time to not only understand our students' needs in the classroom, but also their strengths, talents, passions, and character. This symposium is rooted in our commitment to embrace, acknowledge, and support the holistic needs of men of color throughout the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) college experience and beyond.
The Interrupters Symposium will expose attendees to renowned speakers, insightfully themed sessions with applicable and practical information, and opportunities to discuss building support for Men of Color across the state of New Jersey.
Registration is free and open to higher education professionals working with men of color by completing the form below.
