Dunbar Re-Vision Petition

Pacific Arbour Retirement Communities is proposing to build a seniors’ residence with a minimum of six storeys on Dunbar Street in an area zoned for single family residences. The City of Vancouver has recently adopted a policy on rezoning for density and affordability in Vancouver without appropriate public consultation.

We, the undersigned, oppose the interim rezoning policy adopted by the City of Vancouver Council (without meaningful public participation) and hereby petition the City of Vancouver:
1. to confine commercial development to currently under-developed areas in the commercial area of Dunbar;
2. not to change the current zoning of commercial and residential properties in Dunbar; and
3. to conduct extensive and appropriate consultation with neighbourhood groups before any change to this is approved.
