The Alliance is excited to open applications for our Young Professionals Council – and we’re even more excited that you’re interested in joining. Over 40 years, the Alliance has become the largest non-profit organization dedicated entirely to the health of the Great Lakes. As a leader in our field, we work with a huge network of dedicated partners and volunteers to restore shorelines and keep the Great Lakes healthy.
We’re looking to expand the breadth of our work – and we want you to be a part of this effort! Your enthusiasm and love for Cleveland can excel to new heights as you work with a group of young Clevelanders to identify, fund and support local efforts to protect our greatest natural resource, Lake Erie.
The Cleveland Young Professional Council, reviews and chooses projects that receive mini-grants to support small-scale community projects aimed at protecting and improving the Great Lakes. The group will plan and host an annual event to announce grant winners and celebrate their successes! You'll have the opportunity to become a leader in the environmental sector while networking with young professionals around the city. In addition, you'll also learn the inner-workings of non-profit work including the grant-reviewing and decision process, field work and event coordination.
Enough about us, we want to hear about you! Please answer the following questions and email a copy of your resume to Destinee Henton, the Alliance’s Ohio Outreach Coordinator at
dhenton@greatlakes.org. Applications and resumes are due by 8/31.
