My name is Shanequa Charles and I am running for NYS Assembly in the 78th District of The Bronx. Beyond a political run, my mission is to continue to build and serve my community, as I have for the last 2 and half decades.

Criminal justice, education, youth development, small business support/creation, harm reduction, maternal mortality rates, housing, food justice, immigration and free MTA are a few of the core issues that have been deeply worked on. Organizing to pass legislation in these areas and being a 40 year long Bronx born resident are just small parts of what prepares me for this journey.

Guiding our youth through a lens of lived experience, growth and success in many leadership roles, my passion is to have a United, stronger Bronx that flourishes beyond what we ever thought was possible.
