Inaugural ACS-AIChE Workshop on Identifying the Gaps and Opportunities in Graduate Education to Improve Sustainability of the US Chemical Industries
The aspiration for this pioneering, interdisciplinary, inter-societal initiative is to transform sustainability education at the graduate level and catalyze new approaches to environmental protection at the US chemical industries. Bringing together ACS and AIChE members from both industry and academia will address the needs of practicing engineering/chemistry community in introducing sustainability and environmental components into their professional environment. Given very active efforts on both ACS and AIChE sides to address these topics, the workshop participants will be able to share the best practices, come up with innovative ideas and establish long-lasting professional connections and joint programming initiatives between two societies. The workshop will be open to industrial practitioners, faculty members and graduate students. Travel awards will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

**This workshop is offered as part of the Division of Environmental Chemistry program at the 255th ACS National Meeting (http://www.acs.org). You must register for the ACS National Meeting separately. There is no additional charge to attend this workshop.** Places are limited and event is limited to 30 participants.
