We are urging City Council to protect our communities, especially Black, Muslim, and Immigrant communities heavily targeted by the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC), by declining these grants: Dockets #0408, #0710, and #0831). These grants total one million dollars and will expand the impact of Boston Police's BRIC.

In Boston, low income neighborhoods are constantly over patrolled with police squads accessing federal and local shared information through BRIC to surveil, target and harass Black residents leading to cycles of re-criminalization.
Additionally, we watch federal agents deployed around the country to squash Black Lives Matter movements and uprisings. Boston claims that we're different - but our people are targeted locally through BRIC's extensive policing.

We cannot expand BRIC and BPD's violent tentacles with grants for more police and more cameras. Additionally, we need a report on the full BRIC budget including all external funding and support provided to BRIC from federal and state agencies.

Estamos instando al City Council que proteja nuestras comunidades, especialmente las comunidades Negras, musulmanas, y inmigrantes que son constantemente vigiladas por el Centro Regional de Inteligencia de Boston (BRIC) con el declinar de esos fondos: Legajos #0408, #0710, y #0831. El total de esos fondos es un millón de dolares y va a expandir el impacto del BRIC de la policia de Boston.

En Boston los barrios de bajo ingreso son constantemente sobrellenos de policía con aceso a información federal y local compartida por BRIC para vigilar, apuntar y acosar a residentes Negros, que lleva a cabo un ciclo de recriminalización.
Además, vemos a agentes federales desplegados sobre todo el país para subyugar los levantamientos y movimientos de Black Lives Matter. Boston pretende que somos diferentes, pero nuestra gente es escogida por la vigilancia extensa de BRIC.

No podemos expandir los tentacles violentos de BRIC y BPD con fondos para más policies y más cameras. Además, necesitamos un reportaje completo sobre el presupuesto de BRIC incluyendo todos los fondos externos y el apoyo recibido de agencias federales y estatales.
