Hawaii Youth Food Council Membership Application Form (2024-2025)
Mahalo for your interest in applying to be part of the Hawai‘i Youth Food Council (HYFC) for the 2024-2025 school year!

HYFC is a group of motivated students from public, charter, and independent high schools from across Hawai‘i. HYFC was launched in February 2020 and is a program of Hawai‘i Farm to School and the Hawai‘i Public Health Institute. HYFC’s mission is to engage youth in policy and systems change efforts that result in a just and equitable local food system for a healthier Hawai‘i.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a high school student in Hawai'i during the 2024-2025 school year.
- Must be passionate about food, nutrition, agriculture, and making a difference in Hawai‘i.
- Must participate in regular online meetings (frequency determined by the council) and respond to email in a timely manner.
- Must be able to commit approximately 10-15 hours per month to council meetings and activities.

TIMELINE
- Selected applicants will be invited to interview by the current HYFC Coordinator 
- The council term is through May 2025.
