Before participating, the promoter (European Federation of Internal Medicine  [EFIM] Working Group on Diabetes and Obesity) requires you to review the following information:

• Academic researchers from the EFIM Working Group on Diabetes and Obesity are conducting this survey to better understand the state of obesity education in internal medicine residency programs in Europe.
• You are invited to participate as you may be familiar with the internal medicine residency program curriculum, including where and how the disease of obesity is taught.
• Your participation involves completing this anonymous survey.
• We expect, on average, it will take respondents like yourself less than 10 minutes to complete this survey.
• Findings of this research project may be published in scientific journals or presented at medical meetings. All the results will be presented in aggregate form; data will never be presented in a way that identifies individual institutions.
• Your responses will be kept strictly confidential and will never be associated with your name.
• Your participation is voluntary, and you may choose to stop participating at any time (withdraw consent).
• No personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or institution) will be collected. Responses will remain anonymous. Survey data will be securely stored in a data repository managed by EFIM, accessible only to authorized members of the EFIM Diabetes and Obesity Working Group. The data will be analyzed only for the research purposes described above. Findings may be published in scientific journals or presented at medical conferences, but only in aggregated form to ensure anonymity. All data collection and handling processes comply with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No data will be used for commercial or non-research purposes.
