Wills For Heroes
Wills for Heroes gives Utah first responders and their spouses or partners access to a FREE basic estate plan drafted by an attorney in appreciation for their dedication and service. All participating attorneys must be licensed in Utah.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Please sign up for the time slot(s) that fit your schedule (multiple time slots are welcomed!). We will connect you with a client whose schedule corresponds to your time frame. All client time slots are one hour and will be conducted via Zoom. A BYU Law student may assist you with the estate planning process during this hour.

It is not necessary to have any prior experience with wills or estate planning. You will be given access to and trained on software that takes you through the interview and the production of the documents. There will also be a hotline with experienced Estate Planning lawyers on-call via Zoom to help with any questions that you might have on the day of your appointment.

SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, September 8 - Virtual training through Zoom (arranged to fit your schedule)

Wednesday and Thursday, September 9 and 10 - Consultations through Zoom, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Friday, September 11 - Drive-up notary services and will execution for heroes (Attorneys do NOT need to be available for this step)

This event is made possible by BYU Law Alumni, Zions Bank, the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar, and Hot-Docs Document Automation.
