ADMINISTRATIVE AND PRODUCTION INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION: Summer @ Live Arts is when our Education Programs take over the Live Arts building! Speciality and Production camps and Mini Camps bring about 400 students ages 4-16 through our doors for ten weeks of learning, friendship, and engagement in every aspect of the performing arts. Our ideal internship candidate has good existing computer skills and/or tech theater skills, and enthusiasm, curiosity, positivity, and lots of energy. Prior experience working in an office and/or theater environment preferred, as well as experience with internships and paid positions in theater or the performing arts.

Please note that although interns will most often be assigned tasks based on their position, Production Interns may be assigned some Office tasks and Office Interns may be assigned some Production tasks.

Interns will work 20 hours per week between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM. All internship positions include a weekly stipend. Occasional weekend hours may be required and will be negotiated as needed.

Our Production Interns help stage manage Production and Specialty Camp shows; act as sound or light board operators; work on technical elements like props and costumes for summer productions; serve as counselor aids for Production and Specialty Camps, etc. Our Office Interns work closely with the Live Arts staff on administrative tasks including creation of camp documents, emails, and forms; scanning and copying scripts and scores; help with scheduling and oversight of camps; management of Live Arts social media, etc.
