ISLA Executive Board Members-at-Large
Thank you for their interest in becoming part of the leadership team of the Indiana State Literacy Association (ISLA). Please help us fully appreciate the skills, abilities and interests that can bring to the association by responding to our brief application.
The Members-at-Large shall serve as an officer of the association, with such duties as to serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the membership of the association.
The term of office for all positions begins July first of each year. The term of office of the Members-at-Large shall be two years. All offices may be held for a maximum of eight years.
Should any or all of the Member(s)-at-Large be unable to fulfill their duties, there will be a vacancy of Member-at-Large until the next election cycle of Members-at-Large.
A. Must be a member in good standing of the International Literacy Association, the ISLA, and an Indiana
B. Must adhere to the primary purposes of the association.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
A. Serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
B. Attend at least 80% of all Board of Directors and Assembly meetings.
C. Take on various projects or committee work as needs arise.
D. Act as a liaison to general membership and local councils.
