Dayton EGA Online Showcase
For our 50th Anniversary, we want to have an online display of our members' work. It can be anything you have stitched, so here are just a few ideas:
  • Maybe you are proud of the finishing you did on the piece.
  • It was a fun stitch.
  • It was a class piece.
  • It was an entry at the county or state fair and you got a ribbon!
  • Maybe it was something you stitched that holds a special memory.
  • Maybe it was a challenging piece that you finally conquered, finished, or both.
You can see some examples of what this might look like here: https://www.daytonega.org/showcase

You will be sending your pictures and descriptive information to Jana at bassj@mac.com. When you send a photo, PLEASE send it without changing the ORIGINAL size of the photo. That will give us the best quality photo to use (not blurred or otherwise not clear). And please check your photo before you send it. If it's not a clear photo to you, it won't be clear on the website, either, so retaking the photo is the best thing to do in that instance.

When you send a photo via an iPhone, it will ask you if you want to send a Small, Medium, Large, or Actual Size photo. ALWAYS choose Actual Size

Many email programs will have a place where you can also choose what size photo should be sent. If given a choice, ALWAYS choose Actual Size (or words to that effect).

Lastly, send as many as you like, but please send them in separate emails. It will make it easier to make sure the right information goes with the photo.

To get started:
What is your First Name? *
What is your Last Name? *
What is your email address (type it in CAREFULLY and check to make sure there are no typos!)? *
What is the name of the piece? *
What is the name of the designer?

If it is from a book or magazine, it would be helpful to say what that is and even include the page number. (Inquiring minds, etc.)

If it was a kit, what was the name of the kit and the company?
*
Was this a class? *
If this was from a class, who was the teacher, what was the name of the class, when was it, and where was the class? We want everything but the Why and the How!
Now we want details!

Technique(s)
Materials used (fabric, fibers)
When started (if you know it)
When finished (if you know it)
*
Do you have a story to go along with the piece? Do tell! *
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
