We are excited to welcome students to the Glenwood Community School District’s band this year!
We would like to invite YOU to support the students and the program.
The Glenwood Band Parents Association has created a special program that allows the community to support the instrumental music program financially. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Band Program, which includes local businesses, parents, and community donors, the Band Parent Association has been able to fund a variety of projects that have enabled our band students to learn, perform, and enjoy music.
Below are some of the projects we support using the donations of our Friends of the Band:
- Purchase uniforms
- Purchase instruments
- Purchase performance equipment
- Purchase band trailer for transporting equipment
- Provide food at camp/competitions
- Supply marching band t-shirts
- Sponsor drum major camp participation
- Offer scholarships to seniors pursuing band in college
Join us in supporting the band programs at Glenwood Community Middle and High Schools by becoming a Friend of the Band. Your donation will help us continue to build a successful instrumental program that includes marching band, concert band, and jazz band. Friends of the Band donors are recognized at all home football games and non-competitive band performances. Because we are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization, your donation may be tax deductible.
Enclosed you will find the 2026-2027 membership and volunteer form. Please fill out the form indicating how you would like to be involved in the program. Donations can be made by check, cash, or Venmo (@GLENWOODBANDPARENTS).
