Retail Marijuana Public Health Advisory Committee Membership Application
The Retail Marijuana Public Health Advisory Committee was established in accordance to Colorado Revised Statute 25-1.5-110, Section 10. This committee systematically reviews and evaluates scientific literature and data on the health effects of marijuana use. It is responsible for making recommendations intended to protect marijuana consumers and the general public.
The committee consists of up to 15 public health and healthcare professionals with specialty or expertise in the following areas; Emergency medicine, epidemiology, injury prevention, laboratory science, medical toxicology, mental and/or behavioral health, neonatology/obstetrics, neuroscience, pediatric medicine, , pharmacology, pulmonary medicine and substance abuse. All members must be appointed by the Executive Director of the department.
