The master planning process provides Adopt-A-Park groups with access to a professional landscape architect to develop a master plan that meets the needs of the park’s community. By working together and committing to meaningful public engagement, APF, PARD and the project team will encourage park users and community members to express the hopes and needs for the their park. The community will form consensus to drive the design of a master plan and phasing for the park. The conceptual master plan will be a useful tool for raising funds and providing next steps for implementation.

The goal of the master planning process is provide the park with a fully adopted master plan with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department. All work is done in complete coordination with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department. Award of Park Master Planning through Austin Parks Foundation does not result in automatic award of ACL Music Festival Grants. Adopt-a- Park groups must apply separately for any grants offered by Austin Parks Foundation.
