Learn More About BuxMont Roller Derby!!
Hi there! Thanks for taking an interest in your local roller derby community! We are a skater-run league established in 2013. We practice at 309 Inline in Hatfield, with our home games being played at Inline 309 & 422 Sportsplex in Pottstown. Our mission is to create a space where all feel welcome, and to advance the sport of roller derby in our community. We are a registered WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) league.  Stay up to date with us via Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok or our website! https://bit.ly/m/buxmontrollerderby

We have two travel teams, Sirens (A team) Valkyries (B team). We also have two home teams Perkiomen Punishers and the Nockavixons. There is an opportunity for all levels of athletes at Bux-mont!!

We also have a need for those wishing to volunteer as Skating Officials and Non-Skating Officials (score keepers, time keepers, penalty box trackers), and we welcome any interested photographers.

For those wanting to join our new skater program:

Our new skater program runs twice a year. No skating experience is necessary, we work with people at all skill levels. Our next program will begin on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH. Sign up below to be notified of details!

We practice Sundays 7:00pm-9:00pm and Thursdays 8:00-10:00pm at Inline 309 in Hatfield. We have loaner gear available (pads, helmets, skates) for a $25 deposit, which is given back once the gear is returned.

If you'll be needing skates, please let us know your shoe size (so we can check against what we have). The monthly fee for new skaters is the same as our league members, $55/month, which goes towards our rink fees. Skaters are also required to purchase derby insurance through WFTDA which is $80/year. Skills are taught and tested in tiers. Once a skater has successfully passed Tier 1, they move to Tier 2, and so on, up through Tier 3B. At that point, skaters have completed Bux-Mont's curriculum for the new skater program and can start practicing with the rest of the league. Generally, the new skater program lasts 8-12 weeks from first practice to final skill testing day, but this can vary by person.

For those wanting to become an official (skating or non-skating) learn more here about those roles and why they are critical to the derby community!!:
