AB Spring Break Trip 2024-2025
This year we are excited to provide multiple travel sites for the spring break trip that will occur during KU's spring break in March! Travel sites will have a fee of $275 per participant. Please note there are scholarships available to help pay this fee, if needed. This payment is towards gas, groceries, and participant cost. You will be expected to cover any excursions you partake in, and any restaurant/fast food experiences. Please note, we DO have scholarship options available, and strongly encourage you to apply.

Alternative Breaks hosts a series of required classes revolving around ethical service, trip participation, and team building, which will occur from 5:30 - 7:00 PM every Wednesday after acceptance. Please put these dates in your calendar now: February 5, February 12, February 19, February 26, and March 5. They are hosted on the Lawrence campus, though we try our hardest to also have a Zoom option available.

This form is intended for participants hoping to be placed at a travel site; filling this form out instead of the local one does not guarantee a travel site placement, it is an indication of preference that is taken into heavy consideration though.

IF YOU ARE APPLYING TO BE A DRIVER, WE RECOGNIZE SOME DATES ARE PAST THE SUBMISSION - THAT IS OKAY! Just fill it out the best you can and we'll be in contact!

If you have any questions or issues while filling out the form, please feel free to shoot an email to kualbreaks@gmail.com for assistance!

Do you require any accommodations or additional supports (i.e. elevator access, private bathroom, special diet, frequent breaks during manual labor) to participate in a service trip? If you indicate "yes," an AB executive board member or staff advisor will follow up with you to discuss how AB or the service site may reasonably adapt lodging, transportation, or service activities.

We keep this information private, and do our best to make trips as accessible as possible, though we ask participants to make the best decisions for themselves regarding participation and disclosure.
