Mexican Gray Wolf Naming Contest
Recently, a Mexican gray wolf crossed the international border when she ranged from a release site in Northern Mexico to Southeastern Arizona. The wolf, f1530, was born on a reserve in Sonora last year and then released about 90 miles south of the border with Arizona. After crossing that border, she was removed from Arizona and put in captivity in New Mexico. We hope she will be released into suitable habitat soon so she can continue to help the struggling wild Mexican gray wolf population recover. But she needs a name! Can you help us find a fitting name for this courageous young wolf?
