Every school with 21 or more English learners must have an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The East Bakersfield High School ELAC is responsible for reviewing and using information from many sources to make decisions about improving programs at our school.  The ELAC gives input on how to use funding to improve academic achievement for English Learners.  Meetings are generally held 8 times per year for 1 hour and ELAC members serve for 2 years on ELAC.  Meeting times will be determined by the ELAC. This year we have 5 open seats for parents/community members.  If you would like to be a part of this council, please complete the form and return it to the EBHS Title I Office or call the EBHS Title I Office by 10/8/2024. Parent members are elected by parents or guardians of EL students. Thank you.

Cada escuela con 21 o más estudiantes de inglés debe tener un Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés (ELAC). El ELAC de East Bakersfield High School es responsable de revisar y utilizar información de muchas fuentes para tomar decisiones sobre cómo mejorar los programas en nuestra escuela.  El ELAC brinda información sobre cómo utilizar los fondos para mejorar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de inglés.  Las reuniones generalmente se llevan a cabo 8 veces al año durante 1 hora y los miembros de ELAC sirven durante 2 años en ELAC.  Los horarios de las reuniones serán determinados por el ELAC.
