Community Cats is a partnership between the Austin Animal Center and the Austin Humane Society in order to help the residents of the City of Austin and Travis County communities. Community Cats uses a method called Trap Neuter Return (TNR). TNR with Community Cats provides free spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, flea treatment, antibiotics, and a place for the cats to recover after surgery. The TNR-ing is done by the AAC Volunteer Trappers. We can put out your trapping request to the Community Cats Volunteer Trappers and ask one of them go trap the cats for Trap Neuter Return. There is no guarantee that we will have a volunteer for your trapping request but we absolutely do our best. Please note, the Community Cats program does not remove or re-home free roaming adult cats.
