BUMP TV Show Pitch
Wanna make a show in the BUMP TV studio? Amazing! Please fill out this form so that we can understand what kind of show you want to make and how it might work in our studio. This proposal will be reviewed by our board members to make sure it doesn't violate our community guidelines and that it is logistically feasible.
The studio looks like this!
And the final results look like this!
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Anyone who makes a show in the studio is required to attend at least ONE of our monthly public board meetings on the last Sunday of each month.

All we ask for in return for studio space and filming time is this act of community participation!

OUR MANDATE
Bump Television is dedicated to providing and creating programming that: (1) promotes emerging artists, filmmakers and musicians (no big names please!); (2) centres marginalized voices and actively maintains anti-oppressive values. All videos featured on Bump must be programmed with consent by the artists.

NO RACISM
NO SEXISM
NO HOMOPHOBIA
NO TRANSPHOBIA
NO VIOLENCE
NO SEXUAL VIOLENCE
NO EMOTIONAL VIOLENCE
YES RESPECT
YES YOU

WHAT WE PROVIDE
BUMP TV provides a green screen TV studio that community members can use to film in or livestream from.

We will help you film and operate equipment during the filming of your show.

Post-production assistance such as editing is not guaranteed and depends on volunteer availability.

The studio has a green screen, a standard definition camera (NO HD), a video mixer, some microphones, and a titling machine.

The best show proposals are simple, something where you basically just sit/stand/dance/talk/sing in front of the camera with something on the green screen in the background.

Show proposals that require an absolute minimum of editing and post-production are strongly preferred.

If your show plan involves any significant amount of editing, please let us know. In rare cases a volunteer from BUMP TV can assist with editing, but availability is limited. If YOU'D like to help other show creators out with editing, consider volunteering with BUMP TV and come to one of monthly open board meetings!

If you would like to edit your show yourself, that is very welcome!

If you want to edit your show yourself but don't have experience, one of our volunteers may have time to give you an introduction to editing.

WHAT YOU PROVIDE
- any props or costumes you may need
- a hard drive or storage device to store your footage on
- a laptop with a Thunderbolt 2 connector for displaying images on the green screen
