Orientation is the first step to volunteering. Both the teen & parent are required to attend. Teen orientation is Sunday, January 28th, 5-6:30 p.m. If you are not able to attend, please check back for the next volunteer session. *
You are signing up to participate in the Dog TLC program. This is a 3 day training. The first two days are classroom days & required for all. Sunday, February 4th & Monday, February 5th both 4-6 p.m. *
After the 2 classroom days, we have a test day to practice walking dogs and ensure everyone is following the procedures correctly. Please pick ONE of the days to take your test.
We welcome all school related community service, such as NHS, NJHS, SAE etc. However, the volunteer department is unable to sign off on court mandated community service hours. Please call the intake desk at extension 229 for more information on the restorative program.
Part of the volunteer dress code is a volunteer t-shirt, please mark what size you will need. *
There will be a $25 donation fee to help cover the cost of your t-shirt and running the volunteer program, while leaving more resources for the animals. We can accept cash or check. You are welcome to pay at orientation or the first day of training. *
Thank you so much for signing up to volunteer with Longmont Humane Society! You will receive a confirmation email within a few days of your RSVP. Make sure to mark your calendar with all the dates required to volunteer. There are no make up days.
