Y.A.L.P.: Youth/Young Adults Living Positively
YALP is a collaborative program of Peer Support Space and The Bros in Convo Initiative. YALP provides a brave and safe space to build friendships and a sense of community among young people (18-35) of color (self-defined) living with HIV in Central Florida. Regardless of their gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

When: 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
March 10, 2022: Expression Through Art (Required session)
April 14, 2022: Body Positivity (Required session)
May 12, 2022: Anxiety around The Holidays (Required session)
June 9, 2022: HIV Related Stigma (Required session)
July 14, 2022: Dating with HIV (Required session)
August 12-14, 2022 : YALP Retreat


What:
Program benefits include an expanded support system, increased emotional health and wellness, greater knowledge and connection to local resources. A light meal is served at all gatherings.

Participants will attend a weekend retreat and receive a program stipend at the end of the program.

Attendance Policy
Participants are required to attend 5 out of 6 required sessions to attend the retreat and receive their program stipend. Participants must notify Angel Nelson, Program Manager 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend a session.
