Job Purpose: Be the first person customers interact with when they enter our space. You will be well-versed in the candle line and brands we carry, and you will be excited to chat with customers about whatever questions they present. :) After a few weekends of training, it’s likely that you will be the main person running the shop during your shifts, so please be comfortable working on your own and, more importantly, a self-starter!
Job Duties:- making sure the shop space is clean and in tip-top shape during every shift- keeping merchandise in their designated areas, organized and presentable- ringing up sales using our Shopify POS, close out shift duties- shop maintenance (including breaking down cardboard boxes, sweeping floors, general cleaning, dusting, taking out trash/recycling, etc.)- inventory management (rotating inventory, organizing materials, pricing inventory, pulling inventory and loading owner's vehicle for market days*)- *order fulfillment (pulling orders, packing orders and prepping them for shipment)- *markets and pop-up events - there is an opportunity for possible additional shifts providing assistance during markets and pop-up shop events (including load-in, load-out and general sales responsibilities alongside owner, acting as a brand ambassador)

Qualifications: - High school graduate- Candidate should be self-motivated, resourceful and able to complete a project with little supervision- Our ideal candidate is friendly, loves people, meticulous, dexterous and has a high attention to detail- Well-versed in computer-based applications (we use Asana, Google Docs, ShipStation, etc.)- Strong interest in learning the behind-the-scenes of running a small business and small business development
Physical Requirements: - must be able to stand for extended periods of time- must be able to lift 50 lbs. to move product and materials within studio and retail space

Trial Run: There will be a 30-day paid probationary contract period upon selection of candidate to ensure we are a good fit before continuing with employment. Before any work commences, we will require candidate to complete an employment agreement, which includes a non-disclosure agreement and a non-compete agreement.
