Whereas, GWPD has set a precedent of providing security details at previous GW resolution hearings, such as the Alpha Phi Bigotry act and the hearing on SR-S17-14.

Whereas, GWPD has exemplified blatant hypocrisy as they arrived immediately after the cancellation of the resolution hearing to address reactions to the cancellation of the senate meeting, after refusing to provide security for the hearing itself.

Whereas, GWPD was provided an ample, appropriate amount of time to provide a security detail.

Whereas, the security threats on campus will only grow in intensity while the resolution hearing is delayed.

Whereas, the student association caved to exterior racist pressures from blacklisting organizations such as Canary Mission by cancelling the resolution hearing.

Whereas, Palestinian students on campus were not consulted before the decision to cancel the resolution hearing, and it is crucial to center Palestinian students’ thoughts and feelings when the issue at hand is a direct threat to their safety.

Whereas, we must respect the agency of Palestinians students by supporting their desire to hold a senate meeting regarding SR-S18-21.

We as students at the George Washington University demand a full GWPD security detail at the future date of the resolution hearing for the SR-S18-21: The Protection of Palestinian Human Rights Act with I.D. and bag checks.
