Thank you for inquiring about your Operation Babylift adoption records and for trusting StoryScope Studios with part of your personal journey.
We understand that seeking your history can be emotional, and we approach each request with respect, empathy, and confidentiality.
The Operation Babylift Collection preserves many archival records from the 1974–1975 evacuation and adoption of children from Vietnam. These include flight manifests, agency correspondence, and personal files created during a complex and often chaotic period in history.
Because many of these documents include personally identifiable information (PII)—names, birthdates, adoption details, and family information—access is restricted under privacy and adoption laws.
StoryScope Studios provides redacted or anonymized copies for public and educational use, while verified adoptees and families may request individualized access through the Adoptee Access & Reconnection Form.
All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure ethical handling and protection of sensitive data.
Our mission is to preserve and share these records responsibly—balancing the right to know with the right to privacy—so that adoptees and families can reconnect with their origins in a way that is both healing and historically meaningful.
