Calling ALL Wake Leaders!
Last summer, we used the momentum from the spring to train new leaders who then led their buildings and communities in voter engagement and broke the supermajority in the General Assembly. Right after the election, building leaders ran budget surveys and began working on the spring campaign. After thousands of us came together on May 1st, we're in the middle of a state budget process that requires debate within a General Assembly and has the ability to sustain the Governor's veto, neither of which was available to us at this time last year. We continued to organize in our buildings towards the local budget and on June 3rd, we won a $45 million increase locally.

This summer, we are seeking to continue to build stronger teams and add new leaders in Wake. The work we did last year needs to happen in every school and at every worksite this year. We are stronger and more effective when we build and train teams to lead their school and support one another.

Join us this summer as we build a stronger collective force in public education. There will be many opportunities for leadership and participation. Let us know how you are willing to lead below.
