Memories of Sephardic Life Cycle Customs
The Sephardic Studies Program at the University of Washington is preparing for our annual International Ladino Day celebration on December 5th, 2019 at the UW in Seattle. Inspired by the Ladino phrase "de la fasha asta la mortaja" (from the cradle to the grave), this year we will explore Sephardic life cycle customs from the Ottoman Empire to the Puget Sound.

In order to enhance our public program, the Sephardic Studies Program wants to hear from you: What unique Sephardic life cycle customs do you remember? Do you have memories or stories surrounding the following events?

- Birth
- Berit Mila
- Pidyon Ha-Ben
- Zeved Ha-Bat
- Bar and Bat Mitsva
- Engagement and Marriage
- Burial and Mourning

Your reflections may be included in Prof. Devin Naar's presentation at Ladino Day on December 5th!
