Interested in exploring more about mental health & stress management while learning a new hobby?
This semester of Teen Talks, we will be focusing on the importance of mental health and through the use of photography, we will be exploring the different ways teens can relieve stress & connect with others. We will have a variety of workshops, games, and other fun projects to help us reflect on our mental health, refocus and refine ourselves to become a healthier version of ourselves.

When: Fridays, from 4:30PM - 6:00PM, starting October 4th, 2019 to December 20th, 2019
Where: 125 Walker Street, New York, NY 10013 | The 2nd Floor Conference Room
Bonus: Light refreshments will be provided!

This program will be facilitated by Anna Liu and Tiffany Li, both teen health educators at the Teen Resource Center.
Anna is a (crazy) cat lady in the making, with a 2 year old fur baby named Ohana and a hobby of knitting while bingeing on a Korean variety tv show. Tiffany is a true kdrama fan with a great passion for Korea.

The goal of the Teen Resource Center is to create positive, inclusive, and safer spaces for adolescents and young adults ages 13-21. Since 2003, the TRC has been an integral component of the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center by meeting the needs of underserved Asian American immigrant youth in the New York City Chinatown community. Utilizing a holistic approach in connecting with youth development, the TRC is built upon three core components: (1) One-on-one health education with youth to provide relevant, clinically-accurate information, (2) Programs and events to engage teens with the community and their peers, and (3) Referrals to connect youth with additional health and social resources.

The TRC is a safe space for youth of any background to learn about their own health, have someone to talk to, or just hang out. You can come in to use a computer, print homework, stay cool/warm, get water, use the bathroom, or say hi. We are always happy to talk to you about anything such as sexuality, stress management, and more!

Teen Talks takes place on the 2nd floor of the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, which is located at 125 Walker Street in Chinatown. The entrance to the building is marked by a green awning. The space we use is a conference room adjacent to the TRC.
