RSVP: BESS Event in Grand Bahama
We are excited to announce that BREEF and The Island School are coming to Grand Bahama for a special information session about the Bahamas Environmental Stewards Scholarship (BESS).

We invite you, your students in grades 9-12 (or recent high school graduates), and their families to join us and learn about this incredible, fully-funded opportunity.

Event Details:

What: BESS Scholarship Programme Information Session

Where: Bishop Michael Eldon School Auditorium, Grand Bahama

When: Tuesday, November 4th, 2025

Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM EST

For nearly two decades, the BESS Programme has empowered Bahamian students to become leaders in environmental stewardship. This session will detail how students can apply for:

  • A scholarship towards a 100-day Semester or 6-week Summer Term at The Island School.
  • A valuable internship with a leading conservation organization in The Bahamas.

This is a unique work-study experience focused on hands-on learning, leadership, and environmental research. We welcome you to join us to connect with BESS alumni and the BREEF/Island School Teams to learn more. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
