Saint Francis DeSales High School Parent Survey - Reopening Fall 2020
Dear Parents,
Thank you for your time in completing this survey and letting us know your thoughts and feelings about reopening this fall. As explained in the letter from Superintendent Mr. Adam Dufault sent to families on June 17th, we have developed three different plans consisting of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 to be prepared for multiple scenarios.
TIER 1 - Full-time in-person learning with all students, faculty and staff following enhanced health and safety precautions.
TIER 2 - Blended approach with students learning both on campus as well as remotely. See the proposed models below:
**Model ONE: Split Session on Mondays with students with the last names A through L coming from 7:25 a.m. to 11 a.m. and M through Z from 11:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A through L would attend classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with M through Z coming on Wednesdays and Fridays. Students would work remotely from home on the days and times they are not physically in school.
**Model TWO: A through L would attend classes on Mondays and Thursdays. M through Z would attend classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesday would be a flex day.
**Model THREE: We would have split sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays (A-L from 7:25 a.m. to 11 a.m. and M-Z from 11:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). A through L would attend classes on Wednesdays as a normal day (7:44 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.) and M through Z on Thursdays as a normal day (7:44 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.).
**Model FOUR: The groups (A-L and M-Z) would alternate each week with one being in-person each day from 7:44 a.m. to 3:06 p.m. and the other group would work remotely. The groups would switch weekly.
TIER 3 - Full-time distance learning with all instruction taking place remotely.
Our reopening task force will compile and analyze the data from your responses to further assist us in formulating our final plans. The survey will remain open through Wednesday, July 15th. As always, your time and effort are greatly appreciated. May God continue to bless each of you with a happy and healthy summer.
Peace and God's Blessings,
Mr. Daniel J. Garrick
