We are looking for food and non-food vendors to be part of this annual event.
Food Vendor Requirements:
- Vendors must serve wholesome vegetarian and vegan food items. We regret not meat products may be sold at the event. - Vendors must have a selection of child-friendly meals on the menu if participating in the Family Weekend- Vendors must not serve food in packaging, and ask festival goers for their cutlery & crockery. We inform festival goers to bring along their own cutlery & crockery to reduce the waste produced at the festival.- Vendors must try their best to minimise their use of plastic and general waste during the festival- Vendors must keep prices reasonable. R40 - R60 for lunches and R50 - R80 for dinners. - Vendors must be able to arrive and set-up on the Thursday afternoon/evening before the event.- Vendors must supply their own transport to and from the event.- Vendors must make use of the composting and recycling systems to minimise waste. - Vendors must supply their own functional lighting- Vendors must supply their own gas for cooking
NB: Reforest Fest takes place in a forest with no access to electricity. We make use of generators to power the festival. Due to this reason, Greenpop cannot supply electricity to power appliances such as blenders, ovens, freezers, fridges, coffee machines etc. as these items put too large of a burden on the power supply and cause interruptions in the power supply. Greenpop will allow vendors to use site power to power functional lights. If further power is required, you will be asked to bring along your own generator. We recommend making use of non-electric cooking appliances, such as gas grills and deep fryers to supplement this.
A fee of R1500 is charged per vendor per weekend that serves full meals and R1000 per vendor that serves just drinks or smaller snack foods. In addition, instead of charging a commission based on income, each vendor is also required to supply Greenpop with 20 meal vouchers for workshop/activity hosts and performers.
Non-food Vendor Requirements:
- Non-food vendors must sell products that are eco-friendly and conscious.- Non-food vendors must avoid the use of packing, especially plastic.- Vendors must be able to arrive and set-up on the Thursday afternoon/evening before the event.- Vendors must supply their own transport to and from the event.- Vendors must supply their own table, decor and functional lighting- Vendors must make use of the composting and recycling systems to minimise waste.
A fee of R500 is charged per vendor per weekend.
